Troubleshooting Overview
Where to start when something is wrong with your FizzWizz — triage by symptom, or run the full Health Check if the cause is unclear.
Troubleshooting overview
This section has several different tools. Picking the right one saves time, so start here rather than at the first page in the sidebar.
Start with the symptom
| What you are seeing | Go to |
|---|---|
| Carbonation is off target — under-carbonated, or brite pressure behaving oddly | Carbonation & Brite Pressure |
| You have a failed Health Check ident (A–X) | By Symptom (A–X) |
| An alert fired — CO₂ low, leak, glycol, stone inefficiency | Responding to Alerts |
| The device is not reporting — Stale or Offline on the dashboard | Device Offline or Not Reporting |
| Temperature looks wrong | Slushy WizzTemp Test |
| You do not know what is wrong | Run the Health Check |
When to run the full Health Check
The Health Check is a structured 7-check sequence that isolates problems across the pneumatics, solenoids, sensors, and leaks. It takes about 30 minutes.
Run it when:
- Commissioning a new or relocated FizzWizz
- Performing preventative maintenance during off-season or scheduled service
- After replacing a component (solenoid, transducer, sensor)
- Carbonation results are off-target with no obvious cause
- You suspect a leak, stuck solenoid, or faulty sensor
- Support has asked you for results
A completed Results Form with actual measured values is the single most useful thing you can provide when contacting support. It eliminates most of the back-and-forth.
Read this before replacing parts
Fluid inside the FizzWizz is the most common root cause of transducer and solenoid failures. It happens when the arm separator is not used or is overwhelmed, or when check valves are stuck open or missing.
If several unrelated checks fail, investigate the fluid path before replacing individual components. Replacing a failed transducer or solenoid without establishing how fluid got in will simply reproduce the failure. See Arm Circuit & Separator and the Pneumatics Schematic.
This single principle explains a large share of FizzWizz failures, and it is the reason several pages in this section ask about separator condition and fluid ingress before recommending parts.
The Health Check sequence
| Check | What it tests | Idents | Page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Check 1 | Setup and power supply | — | Setup & Power Check |
| Check 2 | Display values on CO₂_In circuit | A–C | Check 2 |
| Check 3 | Solenoid function on CO₂_In | D–J | Check 3 |
| Check 4 | Solenoid function on ARM | K–Q | Check 4 |
| Check 5 | Display values on ARM circuit | R–T | Check 5 |
| Check 6 | Leak testing | U–V | Check 6 |
| Check 7 | Stone hose and isolation valve | W–X | Check 7 |
Every result is identified by a letter — A through X — that appears consistently across the procedure pages, the Results Form, and the symptom guide.
