Run the FizzWizz Health Check

The Health Check is a structured test sequence that isolates problems across 7 checks using a shared A–X ID system. Each check tests a specific part of the pneumatics, and every test result is identified by a letter — A through X — that appears consistently across the procedure pages, the results form, and the troubleshooting guide.

When to run the Health Check

  • Commissioning a new or relocated FizzWizz
  • Preventative maintenance during off-season or scheduled service
  • After replacing a component (solenoid, transducer, sensor)
  • Carbonation results are off-target with no obvious cause
  • Suspected leak, stuck solenoid, or faulty sensor

Prerequisites

  • CO₂ supply with regulator (30–40 psi)
  • Wall-wart power supply for the FizzWizz
  • Stone hose and carbonation stone
  • Arm hose with separator
  • Push-to-connect jumper hose
  • Disposable glove
  • Printed Results Form

Common root cause

Fluid inside the FizzWizz is the most common root cause of transducer and solenoid failures. It happens when the arm separator is not used or is overwhelmed, or when check valves are stuck open or missing. If several unrelated checks fail, investigate the fluid path before replacing individual components. See the Pneumatics Schematic for component locations.

Record results as you go

Fill in the Results Form during each check, recording actual measured values — not just pass or fail. The numbers help diagnose borderline or intermittent issues during support calls.
