Reading the BrewWizz dashboard device list — health badges, what Online, Stale, and Offline mean, and how to find a device quickly.
Devices and health states
The device list is the dashboard's home view. It shows every FizzWizz in your organisation and its current health at a glance.
The device list
Each device appears with:
- Its name — ideally the tank or vessel it serves
- Its health badge — Online, Stale, or Offline
- Its latest readings — current pressure and temperature values
Selecting a device opens its detail page with charts, readings, metadata, and alert rules.
Device health states
Health is determined entirely by how long it has been since the last reported reading. It is a measure of reporting, not of whether the unit is carbonating correctly.

| Online | Less than 10 minutes | Green | Actively reporting |
| Stale | 10–120 minutes | Yellow | Intermittent reporting |
| Offline | More than 120 minutes | Red | Not reporting |
A device showing Stale may recover on its own. Wait 10 minutes before investigating.
A green Online badge does not mean carbonation is on target. It only means the unit is reporting. A FizzWizz can be reporting perfectly while carbonation drifts — that is what alert rules are for. See Understanding Your Readings for what to actually watch.
Why a device goes Stale or Offline
| Cause | Detail |
|---|---|
| Power interruption | The unit lost power, or the power supply failed |
| Network connectivity | Wi-Fi dropped, or signal is marginal at the mounting location |
| Firmware update | The device is briefly unavailable during an update |
| Relocation | The unit was moved and has not reconnected |
| Account or organisation change | Device assignment changed |

Finding a device
As your fleet grows, use search and filtering to find a specific unit:
- Search by device name or serial number
- Filter by health state to see only the devices needing attention
In the mobile app, the same filtering is available with the same health states, so a device showing Stale on your phone means the same thing as on the desktop.
What to do with a red device
- Confirm whether carbonation is actually affected, or whether it is only reporting that stopped. The unit carbonates without the network.
- Work through Device Offline or Not Reporting.
- Once it reconnects, review its charts for the gap period to confirm the batch stayed on track.
