Notification Preferences

Manage SMS opt-in/out with STOP/START/HELP keywords, email and in-app alert delivery, and how plan downgrades affect your notification channels.

Configure notification delivery

Notification preferences control how you receive alert notifications in BrewWizz: in-app, email, or SMS. Your plan determines which channels are available, and you can use the Notifications page to turn eligible channels on or off for your account.

Prerequisites

The Notifications page appears only when your plan includes email notifications, SMS notifications, or alert rules. If the page is missing, review Understanding Your Plan to see which features your organization currently has.

Available Channels

ChannelPlan feature neededHow it works
In-appIn-app alertsAlerts appear on the Alerts page and in the alert bell. Always on when your plan includes in-app alerts.
EmailEmail notificationsAlert emails are sent to the email address on your account.
SMSSMS notificationsAlert texts are sent to your verified phone number. You must also be opted in to SMS.

SMS Opt-In and Opt-Out

SMS alerts depend on both your plan and your phone number's current opt-in status. If SMS is enabled for your account, BrewWizz sends alert texts to your verified phone number.

Use these keywords to control SMS delivery:

  • STOP — Reply STOP to any BrewWizz alert text to unsubscribe from all SMS notifications.
  • START — Reply START to opt back in and resume SMS delivery.
  • HELP — Reply HELP to receive information about the SMS service.

BrewWizz processes these inbound text messages automatically and updates your SMS opt-in status. You do not need to change anything manually in the dashboard after sending one of these keywords.

SMS opt-in status is managed per phone number, not per device. If you stop SMS delivery, BrewWizz stops sending alert texts for all devices on your account to that phone number.

Email and In-App Preferences

Email notifications are sent to the email address on your account profile. If your plan includes email delivery, use the Notifications page to turn email alerts on or off for your account.

In-app alerts appear in the Alerts page and in the bell icon count in the dashboard header. If your plan includes in-app alerts, those alert events are available there whenever alert activity occurs.

Downgrade Behavior

If your plan changes, BrewWizz updates your available notification channels to match. A channel your plan no longer includes is switched off.

If your plan is downgraded, or your subscription is past due or cancelled, any channel your plan no longer includes is turned off automatically. You can turn off a blocked channel, but you cannot turn it back on until your plan includes that channel again. For example, if your plan no longer includes SMS, the SMS toggle becomes disabled and greyed out.
