Post-Install Health Check
Running the 7-check Health Check as the final step of installation, and what to do if a check fails.
Post-install health check
The Health Check is the final step of installation. It confirms the unit is functional before it goes into service, and gives you a baseline record of the installation.
Do not put a newly installed FizzWizz into service until it passes a Health Check.
Before you begin
The Health Check is run with both hoses disconnected and CO₂ connected to the CO₂_In port — the fixture arrangement set up during commissioning. You will need:
- CO₂ supply with regulator (30–40 psi)
- Stone hose and carbonation stone
- Arm hose with separator
- Push-to-connect jumper hose
- Disposable glove
- A printed Results Form
Start at the Health Check Overview.
The sequence
| Check | What it tests | Idents | Page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Check 1 | Setup and power supply | — | Setup & Power Check |
| Check 2 | Display values on CO₂_In circuit | A–C | Check 2 |
| Check 3 | Solenoid function on CO₂_In | D–J | Check 3 |
| Check 4 | Solenoid function on ARM | K–Q | Check 4 |
| Check 5 | Display values on ARM circuit | R–T | Check 5 |
| Check 6 | Leak testing | U–V | Check 6 |
| Check 7 | Stone hose and isolation valve | W–X | Check 7 |
Checks 2 through 6 are run in Test Mode. Check 7 is run in Carbonation mode.
Recording results
Fill in the Results Form during each check, recording actual measured values — not just pass or fail. The numbers are what let support diagnose borderline or intermittent problems later.
For a new installation this form doubles as the commissioning record. Keep it with the unit's documentation.
If a check fails
If several unrelated checks fail, investigate the fluid path first. Fluid inside the FizzWizz is the most common root cause of transducer and solenoid failures, and it produces failures that look unrelated. Check the separator is fitted and functioning, and that the check valves are present and not stuck open. See Arm Circuit & Separator.
For a single failed check, look up its ident letter in By Symptom (A–X) and work through the actions in order.
| Failure | First place to look |
|---|---|
| Power (Check 1) | Power Connection |
| Display values (A–C, R–T) | CO₂ Supply · Temperature Sensor |
| Solenoid function (D–Q) | Front Panel & Operating Modes · Solenoid Cleaning |
| Leaks (U–V) | Arm Circuit & Separator |
| Stone circuit (W–X) | Stone Circuit · Check Valve |
After a pass
Once the Health Check passes:
- Reconnect CO₂ to its normal operating position.
- Reconnect the stone hose and confirm the stone is installed in the tank.
- Reconnect the arm hose through the separator and confirm the swiffer valve is closed.
- Confirm the unit is reporting to the dashboard with an Online badge.
- Set the CO₂ flow rate — see Setting the CO₂ flow rate.
- Confirm alert rules and notification preferences are configured — see Alerts & Alert Rules.
The unit is then ready for service. Ongoing maintenance is covered in the Installation Overview.
