Network & Account Setup

Getting the FizzWizz online and connected to your BrewWizz account so it reports to the dashboard and can raise alerts.

Network and account setup

The FizzWizz carbonates whether or not it is online. Connecting it to your network and account is what adds remote monitoring, telemetry history, and alerts.

Without network access the unit still runs normally. You lose dashboard monitoring and alerts, and the device shows as Stale or Offline — see Device Offline or Not Reporting.

Connecting the unit

Position for signal

Confirm adequate Wi-Fi signal where the unit is mounted. If signal is marginal, reposition the unit or add an access point before proceeding — intermittent reporting is much harder to diagnose later.

Connect to your network

Configure the FizzWizz for your Wi-Fi network.

Confirm the unit is reporting

Once connected, readings begin arriving at BrewWizz. The device appears in the dashboard with a health badge — Online means it reported within the last 10 minutes.

Assigning the device to your account

A FizzWizz must be assigned to an organisation before it appears in your dashboard.

The no-organization state cannot be bypassed. If your account has not been assigned to an organisation, the dashboard and mobile app will not show any devices or alerts. This is the most common "no devices showing" cause.

See Adding & Claiming a Device for the full procedure, and Signing In & Account Setup for account and organisation details.

Device health states

Once reporting, the device shows one of three states based on how recently a reading arrived:

StateLast readingMeaning
OnlineLess than 10 minutesActively reporting
Stale10–120 minutesIntermittent or delayed reporting
OfflineMore than 120 minutes, or neverNot reporting — needs attention

Setting up alerts

With the device reporting, configure how you want to be notified:

Alert features depend on your plan. See Understanding Your Plan.

The FizzWizz detects and sends notifications for diminishing CO₂ supply, misconnections, leaking fittings, glycol system issues, and carbonation stone inefficiencies. Setting up notifications at commissioning means you hear about these before they cost you a batch.

Commissioning is not finished yet

Network setup gets the device online. The installation is not complete until the unit passes a Health Check — see First Run & Commissioning.
